Being born in Mexico in 1978 and brought to U.S.A. when I was 11yrs old, art or photography never crossed my mind. I never knew that I was artistically inclined until I started taking photography classes and that happened when I was 22yrs old. When I was in my teens I noticed that drawing wasn’t a hard thing for me to do, but I never saw it as a means of expression or even as a hobby. While I was taking my photography classes, one of the requirements was to take a two-dimensional drawing class, which showed me a different perspective on drawing. The only thing was that back then I was more inclined towards photography and photo manipulation than drawing. Six years later I switched to drawing and I enjoy it as much as photography. I am still learning new techniques in traditional as in digital drawing.
Now drawing and photographing has become a big part of life, but most importantly it has given me the opportunity to meet new people. As a result I have made many good friendships. I hope that continues here at DA
